Freebies — Good Deal or a Waste of Time?

There are a great number of “free” things available on the Internet. Some of the offers are real and some aren’t. There are legitimate reasons for free offers. Sellers give away free samples, for instance. That’s why there are wine-tasting rooms, test-drives for cars and the opportunity to try on shoes before you buy them! Sellers want you to buy their products and are willing to let you try them out to some extent to convince you to buy. And so there are promotions of various types out there, which can be a good deal for the participants. But tread carefully! There ARE nuggets to be found, but all that glitters is not necessarily gold!

Dare to be Different Online
There are plenty of people offering their “secrets” to help you make more money online. The only problem is that as you trawl around the web searching out these secrets you soon discover they aren’t secrets after all.

What you will learn is good, old-fashioned business common sense. These “secrets” will teach that some kind of a promotion is necessary to attract people to your web site. Once attracted, you need to entice people further with more offerings in exchange for their contact information (email address). As the saying goes, the money is in the list. You cannot run any kind of business online, or offline unless you have a list of potential customers.

Grab a Top Level Domain Name

With the recent explosion in the availability of website domain name suffixes (such as .eu, .ws, .cc and so on) it’s never been easier to grab a domain name that is directly related to the subject matter of your site.

For example, if you want to create a site about Persian Cats, it would make sense to use a domain name including the phrase “persiancat”. Unfortunately, however, other people have had the same idea previously, so persiancat.com is no longer available, nor is persiancat.net, .org, .biz or any other simple domain name with a top level suffix.

Furthermore, it is a fact that most people who are searching on the net are going to give first priority to sites with top level domain names, such as a .com or a .net.

FrontPage and InfoGORound Content

There are several websites that provide content for websites and e-Books. Of these InfoGORound is the best value. You will be overwhelmed at the variety and amount of content. However, you may be at a loss as to how to convert the Rich Text Format articles to HTML so you can put them on the Web. If you do a search for RTF files to HTML software you will find some available but rather expensive. One commercial software cost over $300.

What is computer hardware?

All those components of computer system that are tangible and on which either input could be given (like keyboard and mouse etc.) or output could be received (like monitor and printer etc.) are known as computer hardware. These hardware components of computer system themselves do not generate instructions but process the instructions generated by either software or user.

Staying Focused on the Project

Very often we begin a project with a specific goal in mind, only to find ourselves sidetracked. It happens every day in every way. The phone or doorbell rings, one of the kids needs help, or your spouse hollers something unintelligible from the basement. Anything can and often does happen to break our concentration.
